clinic

lets start from the start

i need help
i find out about suboxone
suboxone blocks opiates while reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms

go on their website
find a list of all the doctors in the bay area that offer suboxone treatment
call all of them
earliest appointment that i can get is january 20th
i call one of them back to ask for pricing and it turns out that someone canceled an appointment
i make an appointment for nov 6th

okay
thats the first part
so
i went there last thursday and everything looked good
i told the doctor how much i take and he said it was very manageable
but i had to go ot kaiser to get some blood tests done
and kaiser
wow
kaiser
is horrible
so disorganized
i had to go to so many different buildings to get the tests ordered and certified and approved and
just a bunch of seemingly unnecessary shit
a hospital themed scavenger hunt

anyway thats all done
and i start taking suboxone this coming tuesday
hopefully it goes well
wish me luck

Hey,good luck. Suboxone isn't the answer to all of the problems in the world, but it does a great job of putting opiate addiction into remission. Try to ignore all the misinformation and horror stories out there-- Please check out my blog, where I discuss the use of Suboxone with patients and other addicts. I got clean in 2001 'the old fashioned way'-- but had Suboxone been around I would likely still be an anesthesiologist.

On my blog I have compared Suboxone to 'step-based recovery'... I don't think one or the other 'is better'. Whatever it takes. Again, good luck to you.
